Services Description
Hofman Planning and Engineering offers a wide scope of services in the area of Urban and Regional Planning. Our staff is accustomed to coordinating the work efforts of architects, engineers, environmental consultants, landscape architects and other consultants to produce comprehensive, mixed-use development plans for properties ranging in size from a few acres to over 1000+ acres. Our firm has been involved with a number of large scale Master Plans and Specific Plans from the very first conceptual land use site plans, through processing individual tentative maps to the issuance of building permits. Our industry experience and understanding gives us the ability to prepare realistic workable Specific Plans and Master Plans that can be implemented with a minimal amount of controversy and a high degree of success.
In addition to a broad planning expertise and knowledge base, HPE has a thorough understanding of local governmental processes. Many of the HPE senior level staff bring prior public sector work experience to HPE enabling key staff to understand the concerns and issues of governmental staff and to find solutions that address their concerns while providing viable solutions for our clients.
Our public sector background is a natural fit with the staffing needs of municipal planning departments and has enabled HPE to work as an extension of staff for a number of jurisdictions. We have been responsible for a multitude of projects ranging from preparing special studies to working as an interim staff member reviewing individual development proposals, preparing staff reports and making presentations to the decision making bodies.
